Fresh mint simple syrup is very easy to make at home and a versatile syrup that will bring a fresh mint flavor to desserts, drinks, and more! Vegan and gluten-free.
Combine the water, sugar and mint leaves in a saucepan over high heat, then bring to a boil.
Give all a good stir, reduce the heat to a low simmer and simmer for 15 minutes.
Turn off the heat, then let the syrup sit for 15 minutes longer before straining and discarding the leaves.
Keep in the fridge for up to one month or enjoy right away.
