olive oil bell peppers onion garlic brown lentils bay leaf coconut sugar cumin cinnamon garlic powder hungarian paprika turmeric celery seed red chili flakes oregano nutmeg black pepper green peas beets vegetable broth, or water mixed greens lemon juice salt parmesan cheese, or nutritional yeast
In a large pot over medium heat add oil, peppers, onion and garlic. Stir in lentils, followed by sugar and all spices.
Stir in peas, beets, and vegetable broth (or water). Turn heat to high. Bring to a boil, cover, and reduce to simmer
