This BBQ sauce does have a slight kick. If you aren’t fond of spicy omit or cut down on the red chili flakes.
Tips for Making Vegan BBQ Sauce:
I highly recommend using a good quality organic ketchup without any added preservatives, corn syrup, etc. for the best taste results. This is one of my favorites.
The coconut sugar can be replaced with maple syrup or honey, if you prefer.
For a sugar-free version of this vegan barbecue sauce, I recommend this ketchup and this sugar-free sweetener for replacing the coconut sugar and maple syrup.
I do not recommend omitting or substituting any of the spices as that is what makes this a well-rounded and flavorful sauce! 🙂
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
