☕ Ingredients and Substitutes

Milk of choice: Milk is used as the base liquid in this tahini chocolate chip cold brew coffee shake. It adds creaminess and helps to achieve a smooth texture. Oat milk is my favorite choice, but feel free to use any conventional or dairy-free milk you prefer.

Tahini: Tahini is a paste made from ground sesame seeds. It adds a nutty and rich flavor to the shake, enhancing the overall taste. Tahini also contributes to the creamy texture and provides a good source of healthy fats.

Cold brew coffee: Cold brew coffee is used to infuse the shake with a rich and smooth coffee flavor. It is made by steeping coffee grounds in cold water over an extended period, resulting in a less acidic and smoother coffee concentrate that greatly complements the tahini and chocolate notes in this shake recipe.

Coconut sugar: Coconut sugar is added for sweetness. Coconut sugar has a caramel-like flavor that complements the other ingredients. However, you can use any granulated sugar of your choice to achieve the desired level of sweetness.

Chocolate chips: Chocolate chips are incorporated into the shake to provide bursts of rich and indulgent chocolate flavor. They add texture and make the shake more enjoyable. Use your favorite type of chocolate chips, such as dark, vegan, milk, or even white chocolate.

Vanilla extract: Vanilla extract adds a hint of warmth and sweetness to the shake, enhancing the overall taste.

Salt: A small amount of salt is added to bring out the sweetness and enhance the chocolate and coffee flavors, creating a more well-rounded taste profile.
