Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use a different potato?

Yes! You most certainly can. I find golden and red potatoes to cook in just about the same time, however, their flavor and consistency will not quite be the same as a russet.

Will this recipe work for just one potato or more than three?

Yes. The cooking time is the same regardless of how many potatoes you air fry. Just try not to crowd them too much for the best results.

Can I use a different oil?

Yes. I much prefer the flavor of olive oil in the skin of the potatoes, but avocado or grapeseed oil works well, too.

Can I omit the oil?

Yep! If you are oil-free, you can omit the oil and still end up with perfectly fluffy potatoes.

Storing and Reheating

Like most baked potatoes, these taste best fresh from the air fryer, but you can wrap fully cooled air fried potatoes in aluminum foil and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. Simply reheat in a 350°F Air Fryer or regular oven until warmed throughout (with foil on!).
