Notes

Storing and Reheating

Store leftover pizza in an airtight container or wrap it in aluminum foil or plastic wrap before storing it in the refrigerator. It’ll be good for up to four days. You can also freeze it for up to two months.
You can reheat the pizza in an air fryer. Arrange it in a single layer in the basket, then heat for up to 4 minutes.

Expert Tips

  • Pre-cooking the crust before adding the toppings is necessary so you won’t get an undercooked, soggy one.
  • Refrain from adding too many toppings or sauce, as your pizza might not get cooked evenly.
  • Incorporating oregano, fresh basil, nutritional yeast, or garlic powder into the dough can enhance the crust’s taste.
  • Since air fryers may vary in performance, monitor the cooking time to prevent overcooking your pizza.
  • Use a thinner dough if you want a crispier pizza crust.

Ingredient Notes

Keep in mind that this is just a quick overview — head to the recipe card for detailed instructions and exact measurements!

All-Purpose Flour: Acts as the base for the homemade pizza dough, giving it texture and shape. Use gluten-free 1:1 flour if necessary.

Baking Powder: Helps the dough rise slightly in place of yeast and also keeps it from being too dense.

Salt: Enhances the natural flavors in the dough.

Sugar: Adds a slight sweetness to balance the savoriness of the other ingredients.

Plain Yogurt: Acts as a moisture binder in the dough. Use vegan yogurt if necessary.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil: Helps give the pizza dough a softer, more pliable texture.

Pizza Sauce: Gives the air fryer pizza flavor and makes the toppings stick to the crust. If you do not have pizza sauce, canned tomato sauce or jarred marinara sauce works in a pinch!

Mozzarella Cheese: Gives the pizza a mild, creamy taste and a gooey, stretchy texture when bitten. Be certain to use mozzarella made without animal rennet if vegetarian. You can also use vegan cheese if necessary.

Your Choice Of Pizza Toppings: Depending on what you put on top, they can add savory, fresh, or spicy flavors to the pizza.
