Top Tips for Making Green Moringa Moon Milk Latte
-
Make it Frothy
For a super frothy, creamy Moon Milk Latte, I recommend using a milk frother such as this one from Zulay (it’s my favorite!).
-
Strain it
If you do not have a high speed blender or you want a super smooth moon milk, I recommend straining it through a cheesecloth before heating it.
-
Not a fan of Cardamom?
If you are not a fan of cardamom, it can be omitted for a still-tasty moon milk recipe!
-
Ice it
Not in the mood for a warm beverage! Pour this moon milk over ice for a delicious, cold treat!
Common Recipe Questions
-
Can I use cow’s milk instead of plant-based milk in this moon milk recipe?
Yes, so long as you are not vegan or on a dairy-free diet, this recipe works well with any milk of your choosing!
-
Can I omit ashwagandha?
Yes. This moon milk will not have as many soothing and sleep promoting properties without ashwagandha, but you will still have one tasty and healthy moon milk without!
-
Can I use a different sweetener?
Yes. If you prefer not using dates, you can use 1-2 teaspoons of raw honey, maple syrup, coconut nectar or coconut sugar, if you prefer. If you’re on a sugar-free diet, I recommend this sugar-free sweetener.
-
Can I omit the date?
Yes. This moon milk is still tasty unsweetened, and the date can be omitted for a sugar-free moon milk. See above for alternative suggestions.

I’m very allergic to coconut. What would be the best replacement for coconut oil in your recipes?
Hi! When it comes to a beverage like this, you can just omit the coconut oil..it just contributes to the texture a bit, but the flavor will be the same without it. When it comes to baking recipes, you can replace it with any other oil or fat. I hope this helps. 🙂
What a great use for Moringa. It’s nice for turmeric to take a break sometimes!
