Ingredient Notes
Gluten-free all-purpose flour: A gluten-free flour blend with xanthan gum works best. If you are not on a gluten-free diet, regular all-purpose flour will work as well.
Coconut sugar: I love to use this unrefined sugar in cookie recipes, but feel free to use regular white cane sugar, brown sugar, or a sugar-free granulated sweetener if you prefer.
Earth Echo Cacao Bliss:
Baking powder: Baking powder enhances the cookie’s texture while also providing the lift needed for them to rise during baking.
Salt: A pinch of salt enhances all the flavors.
Butter: You can use plant-based butter or regular salted or unsalted butter in this recipe. Just be certain to measure it in its melted form.
Milk: You can use plant-based milk or regular milk in this recipe. I’m a fan of oat milk.
Dried cranberries: These cookies are delicious with both sweetened or unsweetened cranberries. If you want a truly decadent cookie, go with the sweetened. I like to use apple juice-sweetened cranberries.
Powdered sugar: Powdered sugar not only adds extra sweetness and a festive flair but also contributes to the crinkling effect of these cookies during baking. Don’t hesitate to coat the dough generously for the best results.
How to Make Chocolate Cranberry Crinkle Cookies
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, Cacao Bliss, baking powder, and salt. Add butter and milk, stirring until smooth. Fold in dried cranberries.
- Place powdered sugar on a plate. Roll dough into 1-inch balls, coat in powdered sugar, and place on the baking sheet. Gently flatten each ball.
- Bake for 12 minutes, until cookies puff and crinkle. Cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a rack.
- Enjoy!
Expert Tip
This cookie dough is versatile in that you can flatten the dough rounds completely before baking if you prefer thinner, crispier cookies, or you can leave them round for softer, fluffier cookies.

Can I sub out regular cacao powder for the brand-name one you call for?
Hi! Cacao Bliss is a wonderful product, but cocoa/cacao powder can be used in its place for very similar results. I hope this helps! Thank you for stopping by. 🙂
Can I just use cacao powder instead of the Bliss?
Hi! Yes, while Cacao Bliss is a wonderful product, regular cocoa or cacao powder can be used in its place with very similar results. I hope this helps! 🙂
